  • Overview

    The HR Manager leads a team responsible for supporting the organization with regard to employee relations, performance management, compensation, and recruitment and Affirmative Action Compliance. Manages HRIS/ATS data entry/approvals, administration and data integrity audits and documentation. Manages the LMS for HR; designs and facilitates employee and manager soft skills and system training. Responsible for vendor management and special projects as assigned.





    • Leads team of HR Generalists responsible for partnering with managers to resolve employee relations issues; collaborates with HR Director and Legal on investigations
    • Ensures fair and consistent interpretation and application of Air Evac policies, practices and procedures that create and maintain a positive employee relations environment
    • Responsible for recruitment functions
      • Maintenance of ATS and job aids
      • Maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations and Affirmative Action Plan
      • Effective and legally compliant pre-employment practices and onboarding
    • Responsible for New Employee Orientation
    • Monitors and reports on timeliness of performance appraisals and merit increases
    • Maintains HR LMS; conducts leadership and employee training
    • Ensures data integrity of HRIS systems providing quality control for approvals to the HRIS system.



    • HRIS

      • Researches and recommends new HRIS functionality to streamline processes and improve services;
      • Prepares and maintains updated job aids
      • Manages log of system issues and enhancements; oversees testing
      • Collaborates with HRIS Administrator to ensure system updates are documented and communicated effectively
    • Maintains employee handbook and HR policies and procedures
    • Researches, analyzes data and prepares reports for the Director of Human Resources.
    • Collaborates with managers to prepare and maintain updated job description
    • Ensures unemployment claims are processed in a timely manner to reduce cost to the organization
    • Manages vendor relationships (temporary or permanent agency contracts; background check vendors)




    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources required


    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
    • Strong technology background; Workday and iCIMS experience preferred
    • Familiar with Affirmative Action Plan compliance
    • Project Management
    • Training design and facilitation
    • Solid knowledge of employment law and employee relations
    • Demonstrates a high degree of confidentiality, professionalism, and judgment
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service orientation
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively; handling heavy workload
    • Strong leadership and management skills


    • Minimum of five years’ experience managing a Human Resources team
    • Strong experience in employee relations including conducting investigations required.

    Working Conditions and Physical and Mental Requirements:

    • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
    • No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
    • May be required to sit for long periods of time.
    • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
    • Travel up to 10%
    • Some long hours and projects on short time frames required
    • Ability to interpret, analyze and prepare detailed records or reports
    • Plans, directs and coordinates work activities of others.
