  • Overview

    Locates, acquires, and arranges shipment of aircraft parts, tooling, and materials required for AOG and ASAP requests on a real time basis in coordination with Maintenance Control and Field Maintenance Technicians in an efficient and cost effective manner.


    A. Coordinates the processing of AOG and ASAP requests

    • Monitors email requests for AOG and ASAP requests and determines identity of requestor
    • Coordinates with the Maintenance Technician, RMM, and Maintenance Control team to determine exact details of the need and name of receiving person

    B. Locates parts/tooling/materials in Company inventory

    • Checks inventory system to determine availability and locations of parts/tooling/materials
    • Determines best location to acquire needed items based upon availability of shipping methods
    • Coordinates with personnel at the inventory location to prepare items for shipment

    C. Purchases parts not in current inventory

    • Determines appropriate supplier, contacts supplier and arranges purchase and shipment of items
    • Ensures paperwork from the shipment is processed properly and timely

    D. Arranges part delivery and tracks shipment of part

    • Determines best solution to ensure part is delivered at the required location at the required time
    • Contacts appropriate Company drivers, contract couriers, or shipping services to arrange shipments
    • Updates all pertinent parties of the essential details of the shipment
    • Tracks the shipment and upon delivery ensures receipt transactions are completed to receive the part into inventory


    • Other duties and special projects as assigned
    • Assists Inventory/Logistics personnel as required
    • Assists Procurement Supervisor, Repair Order Supervisor, and Repair Order Associates as required


    A. Education:

    • High school diploma or equivalent

    B. Skills:

    • Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
    • Well-organized, analytical and self-directed
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Active listening skills
    • Critical thinking skills with the ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Knowledge in aircraft, engine, and component records desired
    • Ability to read and understand technical manuals and records books

    C. Experience:

    • Previous inventory experience ideal
    • Previous purchasing experience ideal
    • Previous logistics experience ideal
    • Previous experience with RAMCO ideal
