  • Overview

    The Quality Improvement Auditor is responsible for the internal company audit program for the area assigned. They will assist the Director of Quality Improvement with the Continual Improvement System and other Quality Improvement Initiatives.



    Auditing Duties

    • Compiles audit plans, audit check sheets and procedures for audits
    • Performs internal audits of 135/145 process, documents and data
    • Compiles audit results and report’s findings to the Director of Quality Improvement
    • Performs spot checks of 135/145 processes to promote quality improvement through daily rigor

    Quality Improvement Duties

    • Performs root cause analysis for quality issues found in area of assignment and report’s findings
    • Serves on Quality Improvement Teams
    • Promotes an attitude of Continual Improvement with co-workers and is constantly looking for areas to improve in quality of business
    • Solicits co-workers for ideas about quality of business improvements



    • High school diploma or equivalent


    • A&P certificate or equivalent industry experience, IA preferred
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma practice preferred
    • Strong analysis and problem solving ability


    • Five years experience in Part 135/145 helicopter maintenance operations
    • Part 121 Quality control, assurance and improvement preferred
    • Manufacturing experience is a plus
    • Experience in Quality Improvement process strongly preferred



    • Performance duties requires the employee to regularly reach with hands and arms; speak and hear
    • Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and smell
    • Frequently required to lift and/or move 30 pounds
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
    • Required to work frequently near moving mechanical parts
